Devoted To The Love Of Dance!
The SouthernStar Chapter of USA Dance is located in Tampa,
Florida and has members from the entire Bay Area and the state of Florida. We have
over 242 members actively involved in Ballroom Dance, and we are very proud of our
talented amateur competitors that represent Southern Star quite well in both local and
national competitions.
Our dances are held the second Wednesday of each month and are open to the public.
Everyone is welcome! Come join us.
A top priority of our organization is to promote Ball Room Dancing to the public. We
do this through numerous out-reach events each year; including visits to schools, nursing
homes, and dance demonstrations for various public events and other dance organizations.
Our Mid Summer Classic All Amateur Competition is held each year on the last Saturday in
July. It is a great competition with excellent competitors and judges. For

We are very proud of our continuing charity fund raising efforts. Each year we raise
money for a worthy cause through our Gold Star Charity Ball. We have currently
raised over $41,000 dollars for LifePath Hospice, The Spring, and Moffit Cancer Center.
